A sound copy of this first edition, limited to 250 copies, and initialled by the author to the limitation page. Original light brown hardback cloth with embossed titles and black illustration to the front board. A little darkening and staining. Slight bumping to edges, but still sound. Yellow end papers. Frontis portrait of Phiz, with paper guard (this with foxing and offsetting). Title with limitation to verso. The first gather is a little loose, and becoming detached to the top half, but still holding. The rest of the book is sound, with a touch of foxing and offsetting only. Mainly clean and tidy.
