A very good copy, for its age, of Part I (A-G) of this subject catalogue for Private Press Books held in Manchester Public Libraries in the 1950s. Published in a limited edition of 700 copies. The production of the catalogue was inspired by a lecture given by Charles Pickering to the Manchester Society of Book Collectors, in 1958. The Preface acknowledges the assistance in creating the catalogue of Mr. Pickering and various others including Mr. K.G. Edmonds, This is Mr. Edmonds own copy and has a copy of a handwritten note from him commenting on his contribution. No Dust Jacket (as issued). Cover: buff coloured paper with back lettering to front; very bright and clean for its age but slight darkening to edges; spine is wrinkled but intact and holding; only slightest visible signs of shelf wear, Internally: very clean and tightly bound; no markings, inscriptions or book plates; slightest darkening to page edges but otherwise in extremely good condition for its age. 84, viii pp.
