Ajouter au panierHardcover. First. A unique record of this enchanting work, performed at the Royal Festival Hall in London, 1958. The book is a presentation copy to the leading English ballet dancer and actor John Gilpin (1930-1983) and contains a number of signatures and inscriptions to him from fellow cast members of the performance. The opening night took place on December 24, 1957, at eh Royal Festival Hall, London, and Gilpin too the role of the Prince. The book was actually gifted to Gilpin by his mother and dated by her "Christmas 1958". The signatures included are: Anton Dolin, Flemming Flindt, Dianne Richards, Diane Westerman, Jeffrey Kovel, Estella Nova, Donald McAlpine, Keith Beckett, Anita Landa, Michael Hogan, Jeanette Ninty and Julian Braunsweg, the Director of the London Festival Ballet. There is a color frontis photograph and numerous black and white photos and illustrations. This copy is very good in tan cloth with gilt and black titles on the spine. There is minor wear and light soiling all around and some fraying and chipping at the top of the spine. FO25.
