Third printing, three volume hardcover set, all the books have a very minor lean to their binding, and mild bumps to their spine ends and cover corners, otherwise this is a solid, tight, clean Very Good+ set housed in a like slipcase, which has a short split starting to the upper and lower right seams at the opening, mild bumps to the corners, and a touch of rubbing.

Three beautiful, navy blue cloth, hardback books all with gorgeous embossed gilt design and gilt title impressions on the spine. All three books are in excellent condition. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. All three books come with a nice designed box, slipcase. First published by The Folio Society in 1985, as a single volume entitled "The Shorter Pepys's". This three volume reprint, with new illustrations and a new binding is published with HarperCollins Publishers Ltd, and The University of California Press. First published in 1996, these three editions are the sixth printing dated 2002. Volume I; dates from 1660-1663 and has 337 pages, Volume II; dates from 1664-1666 and has 372 pages, Volume III; dates from 1667-1669 and has 374 pages. All pages intact, all pages, text, illustrations and maps are in excellent condition, clean, and readable order. Printed on Buhl Wove Paper and Bound by The Bath Press, Bath, Great Britain. It looks like all three books have hardly been used or read. A very nice set of books that would grace any stylish home library.
