Is architectural design one part, and the actualization of architecture in a performative incident another Does Urban Design need different practices ; Das Konzept vom relationalen Raum in der Urbanistik, das Stadträume als gesellschaftlich produziert begreift, wird mit einem Architekturverständnis verknüpft, das Architektur in Situationen entfaltet sieht.Architektonischer Raum entsteht im jeweils konkreten Gebrauch, in einem dialektischen Wechselspiel von architektonischem Material (innerarchitektonischer Wirklichkeit) und ihrem Gebrauch (urbaner Wirklichkeit). Die architektonische Situation kann - im Sinne des in der letzten Dekade entfalteten Diskurses über Performativität - als performativ gedeutet werden. In das Blickfeld rückt dabei der urbane Alltag der Stadt mit all seinen Potenzialen und Konflikten. Analyse allein wäre zu wenig. Es geht vielmehr um den Entwurf. Ist der Entwurf das eine und die Aktualisierung von Architektur im performativen Ereignis das andere Muss man dann vielleicht Stadt anders entwerfen.
