Half polished calf with 4 raised bands, gilt titles to spine and gilt decoration to bands; marbled paper-covered boards and all edges marbled. Spines lightly toned; upper joint of 1842 Volume just starting and of 1843 Volume cracked but very firmly holding. Boards lightly surface scuffed with small chip to paper lower board 1842; minor wear to corners. Foxing to early and late leaves of both volumes; ownership inscription to 1842 in ink and pencil notes at head of 1842 p1 and 1843 Index. Good condition. Two volumes from the nineteenth century monthly periodical covering, as its title suggests, a wide range of subjects.
