American Optical Company,1940. 8vo, complete with 46 fold out plates for colour testing and 12 page pamphlet with instruction card housed in buckram cover in slipcase. Blue card slipcase in reasonable condition with "Glen Davies , 65 mobile field Hospital, Rangoon, 1945" written on front and back, with a few scuffs and small tears and the spine coming away on way side. The book itself with fold out plates with black buckram binding and gilt lettering is in very good/near fine condition as are the plates themselves. The pamphlet is a little aged around edges otherwise very good. An excellent copy with an interesting provenance having been in Burma during World war 2.

The internal metal coil binding is clean and even, the gray cloth cover showing surface wear to spine sides, joints, spine ends, and corners, as well as three short white streaks on the front and a patch of pale spotting at the left rear, and general dimming to the gilt titles at front and spine, otherwise sound. Full title page text: "AO Pseudo Isochromatic Plates - Eighteen Plate Selection of Charts and Instructions Approved by the Inter-Society Color Council Subcommittee on ISC Problem 11: Color Blindness Studies. Engraved and Printed by the Beck Engraving Co., Inc. Philadelphia / New York Copr. 1940" (There are, in fact, 19 plates in this particular copy.) 7 1/4" x 6 1/2" x 7/8".
