Schoolman, M.D. and Daniel H. Bonus, General Director, were the primary forces behind the American Institute of Psycho-Analysis. Schoolman died at 41 years of age. His obituary notes that he was a psychiatrist, psychologist and lecturer and a graduate of the Chicago College of Medicine and Surgery. Bonus authored How to Psycho-Analyze Yourself. A Confidential Analysis of Your Personality (1924) and similar. The American Institute of Psycho-Analysis is not to be confused with the present-day American Institute of Psychoanalysis founded in 1941 by Karen Horney.
