In the essential epilogue to his biography of Deutsch, dedicated solely to 'Psychology of Women,' Paul Roazen states 'it has not as yet become widely known how distinctively her own, and unlike Freud's, Helene's approach was.' He further notes that no matter what 'a subsequent generation were to think, Simone de Beauvoir's 'The Second Sex' treated Helen's books with the utmost respect.'
