In fair condition, with staining to rear board, along with wear into the last several pages. Additional light rubbing to front board. Minor loss at head of spine. Light cracking to front hinge. Text block remains bound well with minor wear. Small assortment of markings at front and rear. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Ex-libris bookplate affixed to front pastedown. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce printing of the illustrations found within the Queen Mary Psalter. Produced in the early Fourteenth Century, it acquired its namesake after Mary I of England gained possession of it in 1553. Believed to date from the second decade of the 14th century and acquired by Queen Mary I in 1553, this lavishly illustrated psalter is believed to be the work of a single artist working in London and now known only as "the Queen Mary Master." The entire work is reproduced here in (monochrome) photolithographic facsimile. Scuffing and some fading to covers, still sturdy and presentable and internally fine.
