Rhoades was the former president of the Greenwich Savings Bank who retired at the age of 39 to pursue a better life. Octavo, 7 3/4" tall, vii + 125 pages with errata, gilt titles on blue cloth. A very good (minus) first edition copy overall with moderate shelf wear, gilt title on front cover and faded completely on spine; rubbing on the corners, light sporadic foxing to the fore-edges, hinges and binding solid, paper lightly yellowed, BUT blue pencil markings to about 20 pages scattered throughout. Without dust jacket.
