The Dust Jacket is bright, colors uniform throughout, intact with the original price ($16.95) intact on the front flap, and would be flawless but for one tiny tear at the bottom of the rear fold that has been discreetly closed from behind with archival materials. This historical novel tells the story of Alejandro Mayta Avendaño, a Trotskyist and member of the Revolutionary Workers Party, who organized a failed uprising in 1958 in the Andean town of Juaja, Peru. By the use of various interested narrators and a fictional first person account by Mayta, the reader is confronted with conflicting views of the person and events.
