The covers show one bumped corner, with occasional pencil marking by Rev. Dawson. The dust jacket shows light edge wear, light foxing, is NOT price-clipped, and is now housed in a protective mylar cover.

Among the subjects discussed are reincarnation in Oriental, Greek, and American Indian systems of thought; the theory as set forth in the Old and New Testaments and interpreted by early Christian Fathers; the rebirth of animals, plants, and minerals; the idea of soul-mates; the memory of past lives; and the fate of the suicide.Manly Palmer Hall (1901 - 1990), was a Canadian-born occultist, mystic and author who was perhaps best known for his "The Secret Teaching of All Ages." Hall gathered together a world renowned collection of books and manuscripts on alchemy, mysticism, the occult, etc. which became part of the library of an organisation the Philosophical Research Society which he founded in 1934. Hall himself wrote over a hundred books and pamphlets on the esoteric subjects, this being the first edition of one of his works on the subject of reincarnation "some wear, marks, spine edge fraying, insides clean tight and very good".
