Illustrated throughout with photographs by Gered Mankowitz, many of which are full page, with an original 3 frame contact strip reproduced from the negative pasted on the limitation page. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents with a previous owner's name written, possiby in presentation on the limitation page, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the fine, lightly rubbed slipcase. Issued in a 'deluxe' limited edition of 1750 signed and numbered copies, with example numbered 1285 and signed by Gered Mankowitz in silver ink on the limitation page. Creator of the iconic 'Between the Buttons' album cover, Mankowitz had unrivalled access to the Rolling Stones between 1965 - 67, capturing the band during recording sessions, concerts and behind the scenes. 'In preparing this book, Gered individually proofed and examined 3,500 frames carefully stored in his own personal archive, an experience which he described as being 'like viewing much of my work for the very first time'.
