Opposite it is a coloured illustration. 52 pages. Reproduced from manuscript by McLagan & Cumming, Chromo-lithographers & Printers, Edinburgh. Boards are worn. Front hinge is broken. Ffep has small bookseller's stamp. Half-title has previous owner's name and address in pencil. Some pages have been taped at the binding with microfibre tape. Rear free endpaper has large chip missing. Book.

Laid in loose is an Autograph Note Signed (ANS) by Elbert Hubbard, four lines plus on postcard-sized yellow letterhead ('The Roycroft Shop') printed in red. It is addressed to a client ('Mr. Gray') who seems to have been a subscriber for the deluxe editions of the press. Attractively bound Roycroft 'Rubaiyat' in full green suede stamped in gilt and black, top edge gilt (two leaves have offset from clippings; some wear to silk endpapers (rear being loose; stain to front silk); minor wear to suede).
