According to Krumhansl: 30 signed copies were published 17 May 1993: 26 copies lettered A-Z and 1 each marked "Author's Copy," "Publisher's Copy," "Binder's Copy," and "File Copy." This is the single file copy. This copy has a significant amount of foxing to the white covers, particularly the rear cover. The interior is clean and Bukowski has added his Little Man and a Jug doodle to his signature. Despite the foxing, this is an excellent opportunity to own a Bukowski book with one of Barbara Martin's beautifully designed cloth strips along the spine, which was reserved for only deluxe editions. A total of 326 copies were signed and numbered, this being #56. Bukowski has added his trademark little man with a bottle sketch. This copy has some spotting to the top edge papers, but is in otherwise Very Fine condition. You'll usually find only a handful of "Run with the Hunted" copies on the market, but signed ones are even scarcer. "Run with the Hunted" was edited by R.R. Cuscaden, an early proponent of Bukowski's work. Cuscaden and Ron Offen were co-editors of Odyssey: Explorations in contemporary poetry and the arts from 1958-1959. Vol. 11, No. 1, of the magazine (1959) featured the Bukowski poems I Live Too Near The Slaughterhouse and When Hugo Wolf Went Mad. The later is considered one of Bukowski's greatest works, appearing in five Bukowski books and captured on four recordings. Cuscaden and Offen were also co-editors of Midwest. Bukowski appeared in four issues of the magazine between 1961 and 1964. Later, Offen, along with Jay Robert Nash, would publish Bukowski's Cold Dogs in the Courtyard in 1965 under the imprint Cyfoeth, Chicago Literary Times. Bukowski's THIRD chapbook. Scarce with a wonderful provenance. Marvin Malone was the editor and publisher of the Wormwood Review which printed a great number of Buk's writings over it's long run. Accompanying the book is a special issue of the review titled "The Marvin Malone Festschrift" edited by Malone's daughter Christa following his passing. ; 5" x 8"; 32 pages.
