The title page is soiled, and has a gift inscription to the head: it has been relaid to strengthen it as it has a large closed tear. The soiled prefatory page also has a closed tear. Brown top edge to a few pages. 19.5x13cms, in an early binding of black cloth over thin boards ruled in blind with gilt spine title. Firm, gilt bright. Unusual to find this title in an original 19thC edition.

Inner hinge cracked between preliminary title page and frontispiece of Moses with tables of the law. Some foxing round borders of plates otherwise a very sound copy with tight binding.
