SCARCE SET OF HARDBACK FIRST PRINTINGS: SEETTEE SHIP: Gnome Press, Inc, New York, 1951 Stated First Edition, First printing: Beautiful clean book with original very good dust jacket The book is great condition with crisp black boards, still maintaining their original sheen with unfaded light red titles to the spine. The boards have sharp corners and no edgewear, but with slightly pushed in spine along the bottom edge. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean and bright with no inscriptions, no bookplates and no book store stamps. The interior pages are clean, bright and flat (which is most unusual as Gnome Press books are often found with age toned paper). The pages have no stains, no bent pages, no handling marks, no writing and are in perfect condition. Stunning book appearing internally as unread! The original first edition Ed Cartier jacket is unrestored and in great condition with bright vibrant colors. The dust jacket has slight rubbing to the fold creases and slight nicking mostly to the spine tips. Otherwise the jacket has no edgewear, no chips, no rips, no creases, no fading, no rubbing, and no foxing. The spine still has strong orange tones which is unusual for this title as the spine is found more commonly faded. And the rear panel is still a bright white. The dust jacket is NOT price clipped and has a stated price of $2.75. The Please see multiple images.
