Staying with the railroad theme for a bit, here s another: The Super ChiefTrain of the Stars by Stan Repp. This small hard cover book (6 x 8 ¾ inches, 258 pages) was published by Golden West Books of San Marino California dated 1980 and I believe it is the First Edition. The book is bound in handsome red boards with sharp gilt titles on the spine and protected by a colorful pictorial dust jacket with a painting by Raymond Spencer on the dust jacket and as the frontispiece. The book is very well illustrated with more than 150 illustrations most b&w but two fold-out plates, one in color. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket shows some very minor edge wear and the hard covers are pristine and handsome. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages are bright white and clean throughout without toning or foxing of any kind. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
