Tagore's Vision is an interdisciplinary research work. This book consists of two sections with sixteen chapters including the first chapter on an introduction to Sustainable Development discourse in development studies and the last chapter on summary and concluding remarks. The second chapter in the section i deals with Tagore's attitude love and respect to nature symbiosis of human beings nature society as well as his praxis of nurturing environment. From the third to ninth chapter of this section the book focuses on Tagore's vision on various dimensions of development viz. economic political socio cultural moral/spiritual educational personality and synthesis of tradition and modernity. The tenth chapter of this section points out some charges/comments against Gurudev Tagore as posed by his critiques. The second section ii of this book consists of five chapters and each of which is concerned with comparing Rabindra Nath Tagore's thought with contemporary environmental perspectives or approaches viz.
