Lithographed title-page (creased), 12 tinted lithographed plates after Grenier, finished by hand, numbered 13-24, each with paper guard (some light marginal spotting). Publisher's cream paper boards, printed and decorated in gilt and red (a bit rubbed), glassine jacket (worn). Provenance: from the library of Jacques Levy, his sale, Sotheby's, 20th April 2012, lot 151 Grenier was a popular artist of bucolic pastoral scenes, as here, although one or two, such as "Les Naufrages" (the shipwrecked) are a little more dramatic.
