The course was offered in the semi-arid region of northeastern Brazil, which stands out for having the largest installed capacity of the country in photovoltaic and wind energy generation, at the same time, characterized by social challenges, such as the lowest HDI among the Brazilian regions. The experiment resulted in the implementation of the Technical Course in Renewable Energy Systems at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the Sertão Pernambucano, in Petrolina-PE. Then, the performance of the course was verified, under the point of view of technical supervision, teachers, egress and employers. The main difficulties were raised and, therefore, possible justifications and solutions were evaluated. A proposal for a reference curricular matrix and the collaboration of the experiment with the professional and technological education policies of the Ministry of Education of Brazil are also presented. 128 pp. Englisch.
