In the 1930s, he turned to detective novels with a series of English thrillers featuring Jimmie Rezaire, a sympathetic former con man turned private detective. At the same time, he wrote several successful detective plays for London theaters. One of these, Ten-Minute Alibi (1933), which presents a perfect crime and its consequences minute by minute, became a triumph and was performed on stages all over the world. Armstrong, in collaboration with Herbert Shaw, produced a novel version of it the following year, which was translated into several languages. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 200.
