Copy number 2 of 250 numbered copies set by Victor Hammer and printed by Jacob Hammer on Arches Laid paper. Signed in pencil by Victor Hammer and dated 1960. This text was substantially rewritten and forms a large part of "Memory and Her Nine Daughters the Muses" in 1956 & 1957. Laid into this copy are a single sheet prospectus, printed in American Uncial, for "On the Nature and History of Architecture" by Conrad Fiedler, 1954, printed by Carolyn Reading (Hammer) prior to her marriage to Hammer in 1955; and a small sheet bearing the Gravesend pressmark cut in wood by Fritz Kredel, with the inscription "For Margot & Hippo from Lucy & Joe".
