Printed by hand on mould-made Zerkall paper at the Partick Press, Kilmacolm, using 12pt Caslon Old Style including the the ligatures and the archaic 's' used in the original printing in 1743. Quarter brown morocco leather with marbled-paper covered boards - the title oval shaped title piece complete with golfing wood cut vignette in a sunken mount to the front board. The whole housed in a slipcase. An absolutely fine copy in super condition. It has a copy of the original publication called 'The Goff' inside a pouch at the rear so everything is present. The author / printer David Hamilton has flat signed the half-title page and has written 'With the author / printer's best wishes'. A beautiful, handcrafted limited edition book with some nice provenance. A lovely fresh, clean, tight and bright fine copy in similar slipcase.
