The production ran for 263 performances, earning Shirley Booth the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play. It was adapted for the silver screen under the title Summertime (1955) with Katharine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi starring. Octavo: [iv], 184 p. with a frontispiece photograph by Vandamm.
