In good illustrated dust jacket with red title to front panel and faded purple title to off-white spine panel. Heavy chipping to edges of dust jacket. Front panel of dust jacket was detached but has been expertly repaired using archival tape. Dust jacket is now in protective plastic sleep. Endpapers and half-title are browned but rest of interior is clean, no staining or foxing. Front pastedown split near hinge (hinge remains tight, not starting), front free end page creased. Bright text, tightly bound pages. Illustrated with b/w movie stills. 220 pages. Literature. LIT/11243.

Nice vintage 1931 1st adapted & photoplay edition of "Tonight or Never," illustrated with scenes from the United Artists movie starring Gloria Swanson and Melvyn Douglas. The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It comes in its original dust jacket which is also in very good condition with some minor chips and tears and some other minor signs of wear and age. The actual cloth covers of the book have some mild wear with a little bit of discoloration to the front cover. There is a period name inscription to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age. A couple of pages have some offset discoloration from what appears to have been a ribbon bookmark previously tucked between the pages. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing or grubbiness, tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, minor stain or marking, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 220 pages long with 4 black and white illustrations.
