Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Good. Stephen Phillips was a successful English poet - dramatist who saw good success in his day. Concentrating on classic themes from mythology and the great stories of past literature (such as from Dante), his dramas are dignified and elegant. Phillips made some strong efforts to revitalize Elizabethan style with an infusion of classic Greek dramatic elements. "Ulysses" seems to be one such production. It's a good play, and all of the characteristics and problems inherent in the character of Ulysses are present. The drama was originally published in 1902. This is the 8th printing, issued in 1911. *************************************** The book has an inked gift inscription (in two handsome hands - see picture provided) : Ida L. Butcher To Anna M. Beechwood. / Anna M. Beechwood (1892 - 1972) was wife of George Beechwood, and the daughter of Charles M. Butcher and Sarah Jane Butcher (nee Morgan). Ida Butcher was Anna's aunt. ************************************** TITLE : Ulysses.
