More recent leather spine with raised bands, gilt decoration and red morocco label with gilt title. Wear to label edge. Covers scuffed and bumped with wear to edges and small loss to rear top corner. Front blank endpaper partially detached. Cracked front inner hinge, but soundly bound. Text is in very good condition throughout. Bright and clean with images presenting well. A nice example of an 18th century text. Text in English. Living: Frontispiece + Title + viii + iv Contents + Fold-Out Plate + 336p; Dying: Frontispiece + Title + vxii + Fold-Out Plate + 259p + iii Contents +i Books written by Jer. Jöcher IV,1206. - Alexander Aphrodisiensis war ein peripatetischer Philosoph des 2.-3. nachchristlichen Jahrhunderts, der Kommentare und kleinere Exegesen zu Aristoteles verfaßte; seine Interpretation ist antiplatonisch. Political pamphlets, providing a table of each Oxford college, its members, and their votes for the prospective candidates to be the University's MP. For the first item there are four candidates - Roger… Newdigate, George Hay, Francis Page, and Charles Jenkinson - are arranged in columns down one side of the page, whilst each college member (classified as scholar, fellow, student, chaplain, and so on) is listed on the left. Curiously, it appears that each member gets two votes, though some only use one. Each college is tallied, and the final result is at the end (Sir Roger Newdigate appears to have been elected).
