Medawar's ink notes are on the rear flyleaf and rear pastedown. In addition, there are a few ink lines in the text. Medawar reviewed Burnet's book in Biology, Vol. 13, no. 1, Summer 1947, p. 42. This review is pasted to the rear flyleaf. A wonderful conjunction of two Nobel laureates, as Frank Macfarlane Burnet shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1960 with Peter Medawar "for discovery of acquired immunological tolerance.".
