Trade paperback original. First edition. No 13/14 (October 1979) - the second of the author double issues - a FRITZ LEIBER Special Issue: 132 pages. Sixteen magazine issues (some were ''double issues'' and so the actual numbering goes from 1-24) were published of this US dark fantasy/heroic fantasy A5 magazine between 1973-1987 (with a final issue released ten years later in 1997, combined with Paul Ganley's Weirdbook magazine as a back-to-back publication). Wraparound colour cover art by Steven Fabian (the first issue to have colour covers). NF/Fine (unread) copy.

First Edition, dark blue cloth hardcover, gold lettering on cover & spine, 128 pp. This is # 74 of only 250 numbered copies of this special Fritz Leiber Whispers issue and is SIGNED BY LEIBER, artist FABIAN, and publisher SCHIFF. Stuart also inscribed the ffep to me with a note, full signature, and date (12/24/79). Contains Leiber's new novelette, "The Button Molder," essays on Leiber, 10 short stories by Etchison, Zelazny, Lumley, Page and others. Art by Fabian, Tiani, Napoli, and others. This hardcover did not include the color covers of the original periodical. The limitation page came with a vertical crease (publisher error). This copy has my name-stamp at bottom of ffep and shows fading (sunning) of the spine and at very top edge. Interior is fine and unmarked.
