Full page SIGNED Inscription from De Vries on the front endpaper! Signed as 'Pete '. "Dear Charlie, uppermost in my memories of the Backwoods School seem to be two blowouts. The one at your cabin. And the one on the way to town. I hope nobody ever finds out how disgracefully we were outdone by the female of the species. Lucky one of the camera fiends didn't get a shot of you locked in the death struggle with my cheap tools: Lumberjack versus Auto jack. So many, many more things were fun, Charlie, and this is in grateful remembrance". Apparently signed to a Charlie E. Good, Michigan (and later Oakland Calif) resident, and presumably a childhood to College Vintage friend of De Vries. Scarce thusly! ; Signed by Author. Signed by Author(s).
