The previous owner's name is stamped on the front end pages. A couple of pages have mild rough edges. The boards are in good to good minus condition with minimal edge wear. There are a couple of corner bumps. The binding is tight and square.

The author's first book, a humorous novel published four years before his forty-odd year stint on the staff of 'The New Yorker', and splendidly enhanced with these quite early Addams illustrations, appearing here three years after he became a regular contributor to the same magazine.
