There were no 'Five Cricketers of the Year' in 1921, the photo plate being of 'Plum' Warner who had just retired from playing. …

Etat : Very Good. Hi, This lot is an 1921 Original Wisden , Rebound in Good+ condition. Rebound without the covers but apart from the covers it is complete. It is bound in burgundy with the year in large gilt to the front board. The spine has Wisden's Almanack and the year in gold gilt. The boards are nice and tidy and the pages inside very clean, the page block has a speckling effect. Nice photoplate within, couple of marks to the boards but a decent book. Perfect for collectors. being the grab any year strategy irrespective of content and condition but at the right price. Etat : Good. Hi, This lot is an 1921 Original Wisden , Rebound with the Rear Cover In Good condition. This Wisden is bound in orangey brown with gilt to the spine , nice boards , internally it is a nice book but has some spotting, it starts on page 5 hence no front cover, nice photoplate. Very good rear cover. is the strategy where the collector is happy to buy any book for that year, condition and book type are not important and a quick way to complete a set. The restoration is : Facsimile front cover, facsimile adverts at the front and a facsimile title page. The facsimile parts are professionally made to a great standard. The rear cover is original and the spine paper is original but has a touch up at the edges. Very nice inside and great photoplate of Pelham Warner. Great price due to restoration. Condition=8/10.…

Tightly bound and the binding is pretty new so minimal marks to the boards, if any. The front cover is nice and yellow, it has some wear to the top and corners rounded , the rear cover is similar with a nick to the edge. Better than most covers. Internally the pages are nice and white and clean , there is some wear to pages 2,3 4. The inside of the rear cover has some markings but between then the book is very presentable with clean pages , some rounding to corners at the front but not off putting. No Trimming. Excellent photoplate. Condition=7/10.…

Internally excellent with very clean pages and excellent photoplate, one of the nicest run of books I have seen regading the whiteness of the pages. Etat : Very Good. Hi, This lot is an 1921 Original Paperback Wisden. It is Good+ Condition. No restoration. The covers are in good order, the front is pretty mark free but it is coming away from the spine at the top for about an inch with a nick, the rear cover has rounded corners , tiny loss at the corners, the spine paper is worn around the edges and it has one line of weakness showing, still tightly bound. Internally the pages are nice , some have rounded corners and excellent photoplate. 100% Original. Other 1921s available. Condition=7/10.…

This paperback has very good covers, if anything a touch dark but this year is darker than the rest around it , some light wear to cover edges and a couple of spots to the first couple of pages. Etat : Very Good. Hi, This lot is an 1921 Original Paperback Wisden. It is in Very Good Condition. Always nice to list a paperback that hasn't had any restoration. This 1921 has very nice covers, the colour of the 1921 is always a touch darker than mid 20s paperbacks , this book has a very nice spine paper coverage, some minor lines forming but very tightly bound without issue (page 242/3 ever so slight weakness) , internally very good Excellent photoplate. Etat : Near Fine. Hi, This lot is an 1921 Original Paperback Wisden. It is in Very Good Condition. It is a very nice Wisden , the spine paper is excellent with very good coverage. The covers are very nice, a small dark patch over 1921 at the front but pretty much mark free, internally very good the only thing to note is that at the base of the book there are some small stain marks coming into the book for a few mm to the odd page but not off putting, just needs a mention. Slight bump to one corner and the cover at the bottom right is open a touch. Tightly bound, excellent photoplate. Condition=8/10.…

Etat : Fine. Hi, This lot is a 1921 Original Hardback Wisden This year is one of the rarest Hardbacks I find and very under rated in the rarity stakes , this is rare and in Very Good Condition. The boards are very nice, minimal marks if any to the front board and spine, there is a light mark to the rear board, the gilt is bright to the spine and front , slight fade to one of the 1921s if being picky. Looks like a band has been around the book as a dent mark in the board edge. The hinges are very strong and yellow pastedowns clean. Inscription to the top of the left hand pastedown as shown. Etat : Near Fine. Hi, This lot is a set of 7 Wisdens. 1921 plus a run from 1923 to 1928 Original Wisdens , Rebound with the Original Covers. In Very Good condition. The Binding is Excellent. This Wisdens are very nicely bound , they have leather corners and spine area, gilt to the spine and patterned to the main area of the boards, the binding itself would be about 100 per book, above the sale price here! The covers are in decent shape, just the odd one has some wear and marks. Internally the books are in good to very good condition but excellently bound. In Very Good+ Condition, a harder than people think book to find. This book is very nice, other than a mark to the bottom of the spine over the 1921 it is in sensational condition. No restoration. The boards are very nice and bright and mark free, the gilt is very bright, internally clean with great hinges, a couple of small cricket association stamps within but not in the way.
