Synopsis
Many standardized tests for reading use the Cloze method, which measures reading as a process in which students attempt to make sense of the text they read. In a Cloze exercise, students are presented with reading passages from which words have been deleted. The student must choose the correct word for each deletion in the text. Each book in Queue’s Cloze Reading workbook series provides several dozen nonfiction passages for students to practice mastering this often difficult and challenging reading exercise. As students progress through the book, passages increase in difficulty. These books are great home schooling tools as well.
