In 1866 a three way busines partnership was formed by Thomas Wood, Cornelius O'Keefe, and Thomas Greenhow. Their idea was to supply cattle (meat) to the miners in the Cariboo gold camp. They got to a rest spot on the north end of Okanagan Lake and the rest ._._._. is history !! Today the ranch is an active tourist interpretive center.
