This story is about a young girl named Emma who has visions. Emma and her friend Sarah go on a trip that will change their lives. These visions are imaginary but give Emma insight from historical people on current events. The two girls tell the story of when the first African American president, Barack Obama was inaugurated. It deals with politics, growing up black and family in a way that children can love and understand. This book is a wonderful mix of imagination and factual historical events. It's also a great way to learn about the inaugural process for the president elect.
