Good+/ good+ A robust first edition copy of Alyse Gregory's second novel, King Log and Lady Lea, read by some critics as Gregory's catharsis over Llewellyn Powys' affair with Gamel Woolsey; whatever the case, she dedicated the book to Powys. Anglo-American woman of letters and Managing Editor of The Dial, Alyse Gregory (1884-1967) relocated to Britain in 1925 with her new husband, and dedicatee, Llewellyn Powys, where they lived near East Chaldon, Dorset.
