Liège, no publisher, 1785, in-8°, 76 pp + (1)nn pp (errata). Sewn in the original blind blue wrapper. Uncut copy. Nicely printed booklet, all pages within a typographical border. This copy with dustsoiled outer margins and some old waterstains at the end. With (an anymous) manuscript ex-dono from the author (?) to ''Au Bourguemestre D'Anvers Van Den Cruijce ''. (written on the first paste down). Extremely rare contemporary account on the bankrupcy of the socalled Austrian East India Company created by Charles Proli from Antwerp in the Southern-or Austrian Netherlands. This account is written by a well informed insider and was allmost certainly printed in Antwerp (Liège being fictituous). The publication is very rare. We could only trace one physical copy (Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp). . H.Houtman-De Smedt mentions the publication on pp. 281 among the printed sources of her elaborate study on Charles Proli: ''Charles Proli, Antwerps zakenman en bankier 1723 - 1786''. 0. S.l. (Antwerpen), manuscript on paper, written in ink, dated Febr. 24th 1785, in-folio, 8 pp , written in French, very neat handwriting. In this letter the creditors (Borrekens & Wauwermans) of Charles Proli request the appointment of Cornelis Jacobs as curator of '' le banqueroutier'' Charles Proli. This request was decided in Proli's house on Febr. 20 th . The letter contains the names of all the creditors (ca. 20) and contains also a report of a follow up meeting of Febr. 22nd. where they proposed François Joseph van Campen as co-curator. Provenance; from the archives of Charles de Proli ; photostat of a typed letter from 23 May 1945 refers to Theophile Smekens who was still occupied with Proli's bancruptcy in the late 19th c. ( see Denucé, Antwerps Archievenblad 2e reeks, 7 , 1932 nr.1). We have other archive records relating to Charles Proli and the ''Société Impériale de Trieste pour le commerce Aziatique'' on offer.
