The Franklin's bookplate on front pastedown. Illustrated with bw photographs throughout. There are two places in the book where the previous owner has left news clippings - one about a horse thief and another about the Big Thicket itself - and those newspapers have caused a burn on the facing pages. Marks on pp. 6-9, 26-28, 171-177. The wrapper has some chips at the edges, remains attractive. Inscribed by Author(s).
