Eight additional artists were included as part of the "New Arts pavilion," with work by Claes Oldenburg, Robert Whitman, Boyd Mefferd, Tony Smith, Newton Harrison, and Rockne Krebs. "In a completely enclosed area in the United States Pavilion stands the results of a pioneer experiment in which industrial corporations sheltered artists in residence and gave them the opportunity to explore advanced technology and transmute it into art." -- from the catalogue. Fair / Good. 8.4 cm. of creasing, bumping, and handling wear to top right corner of publication with 2.8 cm. crease/bumping to top edge of covers; rubbing of spine edge; 2.4 cm. of bumping and creasing to bottom right corner of publication; and 7 cm. embossed markings on recto carrying through to title page. Bumping also carries through to pages, contents otherwise clean and unmarked.
