A "psychological study.full of dramatic intensity.tragic & strong,'' about "a horrible suspicion" that becomes a "weapon of hate" in the hands of a woman. Translated from the original Swedish by Elaine A. Wood. No date in book but research places it at 1920. Scarce, only a handful of copies reported by WorldCat in any language. This appears to be the First English Language Edition, published in London. A 12mo with deep blue cloth-covered boards lettered in black to front & spine, it is in VG condition: extremely clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages heavily tanned & becoming brittle, with small chip to top edge of title page, but completely unmarked. Modest rubbing to extremities & mild corner bumping. The unclipped DJ is Fair, with soiling & some noticeable chips & short tears, with one longer unclosed tear descending at an angle from top of spine across front cover. Protected by former owner in nonreflective mylar cover. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
