A 12mo or small octavo of 7-3/4 inches, one of 2,079 copies printed for Mycroft & Moran, Sauk City, Wisconsin (Derleth's home town), by Collegiate Press, George Banta Company, Menasha, Wisconsin in 1958, though most of these stories appeared in pulp detective magazines a few years earlier. Jacket front flap NOT price clipped: original $4.00 price showing. There is a rectangular brownn stain to front endpapers where it appears a sulfurous paper clipping was once laid in, however.
