The Iconographie, which is an atlas volume only, has the same 74 plates as the Précis, but they are printed in larger format and on thicker paper. I have found some contemporary references to the Iconographie, citing a date of 1867. My own hypothesis is that the Iconographie was published at about the same time as the Precis as a deluxe version of the plates.
