At a time when scientific disciplines were only beginning to shape modern inventions, the author highlights Tasso's unique path to mechanical prowess. Isolated from the broader intellectual community, Tasso's raw ingenuity and relentless experimentation led him to push the boundaries of watchmaking, ballistics, optical instruments, and other mechanical marvels. Through the author's in-depth exploration of Tasso's life and work, this book reveals not only his individual brilliance but also sheds light on the transformative potential of a single mind equipped with a deep curiosity and unwavering determination to forge new paths.
