A very, very Near fine book, sharp, clean, tight and handsome, with the bookplate as noted and an early, perhaps original, rubber-stamped price on the ffep, otherwise no significant flaw, in a price-clipped jacket with a few short, thin creases. Jacket thus Very Good. See scans. Nice, beautifully preserved association copy from the Clifford J. Awald collection, which bore the title "Mineralogy, Science, The Arts Fine & Rare Books". With his Pirate & Jolly Roger bookplate, for the collector of those. The Mountain World series was an extraordinary sequence of titles bearing mountaineering articles written by mostly Swiss experts. Absorbing reading, including: Rare climbs in the Alps; a survey of Mt.
