This is an antique, Industrial Revolution era invention patent in its original wraps, "Specification of William Fothergill Batho - APPARATUS FOR HEATING, EVAPORATING, AND COOLING LIQUIDS." 1868; George E. Eyre and William Spottiswoode; London. There are seven pages of specifications, and two folding blueprints at the back. Condition: The back cover has detached and has bits missing at the left edge and the top-right corner. The patent is bound by two staples at the left edge - the folding blueprints have pulled from the top staple. The pages and front cover each have a small tear at the outer edge. Light soiling and foxing to the pages and blueprints. The top half of the first folding blueprint has detached horizontally from the bottom half along the center fold; the top half has bits missing at the bottom-left corner. There are tears/bits missing at the inner edge of both folding blueprints. Overall in Fair condition.
