Covers are clean and free of wear with very light rubbing at foot of spine. Binding is ever so slightly loosened, still sturdy and secure. Pages are in excellent condition; clean, crisp, and bright. B&W photographs… printed throughout. 291 pages. Copyright page dated 1998. Publisher's pastedown on front free endpaper with bibliographic info, pricing, and a blurb describing the book's content. Previous owner's name (Chris Sterling) written in top corner on this same page. A few pieces of ephemera from his collection are slipped inside rear cover. This copy includes a letter written by the author addressed to Sterling which reads as follows: "January 26, 1999, Dear Mr. Sterling - Thanks for the very kind review of my book Encyclopedia of African Airlines. I agree completely with your criticism of the lack of maps and high cost. Thanks again for your kind words." A very good copy. This volume comes from the Aviation collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling spent his lifetime teaching, writing, and collecting books on civil and military aviation. We are proud to house his Aviation collection, part of the extensive library which is his legacy.
