Ajouter au panierTaschenbuch. Etat : Neu. Neuware - 'Beethoven and the Romantic Symphony' offers an insightful exploration of the pivotal role Ludwig van Beethoven played in the evolution of symphonic music. As part of the 'Fundamentals of Musical Art' series, this work examines how Beethoven's revolutionary approach to composition served as a bridge between the Classical era and the burgeoning Romantic movement. The text provides a detailed analysis of the structural and emotional shifts that occurred during this period, highlighting the expansion of the symphonic form and the increased emphasis on individual expression. The author, David Eric Berg, traces the development of the symphony from its formal roots to its status as the supreme medium for orchestral storytelling. By focusing on Beethoven's monumental contributions, the work clarifies how his innovations in harmony, rhythm, and scale influenced a generation of composers who sought to capture the complexities of the human experience. This volume is a valuable resource for music historians, students, and classical music aficionados interested in the technical and aesthetic transitions that defined one of the most vibrant chapters in Western musical history.
