Paperback. Etat : Good +. Titled Our Pretty Model Village May-Day. Not dated but design registered in1868. With printed yellow with tile and publishers adverts on rear. The Adverts are for 'Bishop's Models' 1d Plain ; 2d Coloured. Listing eighteen in the 'Working Models' series; Nineteen in the 'Still Models' Series. The yellow wrappers folds out and opens into a large sheet with outlines of building etc. printed in black outline. The activity toy was made to be cut up and stuck onto card,to form a three dimensional model village. The item is very fragile; the yellow wrappers are chipped with small tears and a piece missing. There are tears along the crease marks where the paper is weaker. Rare. Folded 14.5 x 11.5 [ 5.75 x 4.5 inches] Opened up 34 x 55cm [14.5 x 22 inches] There are no copies of any 'Bishops Models' available on Jisc Library hub but they did produce some chap books circa 1840. The adverts on the back cover of this copy for sale, state that they also sell working models, hand coloured or plain. I can only assume that a child would make these up and get them to work. AI brought up the name with the same address as ' G.
