No Jacket. hardback, thick quarto, measuring 11" x 9", undated but first published in 1880 and reprinted several time through the decade, this copy was rebound in May 1888 in dark green half morocco with green cloth sides, lettered and ruled plainly in gilt to the spine, cloth lightly marked, the binding remains tight and robust, chromolithographic colour frontis and fifty-five further plates, b&w illustrations to the text. Scattered foxing throughout, viii + 448 pp.
